That’s right – I’m jumping on the Top Reads bandwagon and shouting about my favourite books of 2018!
As my blog has only been active a few days shy of six months, I’m going to countdown my top five. There were so many contenders!! Just narrowly missing out were; VOX by Christina Dalcher and Before I Let You Go by Kelly Rimmer. I’ve also really enjoyed the two novellas I’ve read by Kirsty Ferry; Summer at Carrick Park and Watch for Me at Christmas.
A special mention also needs to go out to Fallible Justice by Laura Laakso, the next in the series Echo Murder is one of my hotly anticipated reads of 2019.
So, drum roll please as I countdown my top five in reverse order………
5. The Rise and Fall of Becky Sharp by Sarra Manning

4. A Spark of Light by Jodi Picoult
3. The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart by Holly Ringland

2. The Rival by Charlotte Duckworth

1. Sight by Jessie Greengrass

I have Sight and The Lost Flowers Of Alice Hart on my shelf. Must get round to them now!

Oh, do!! ‘The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart’ was just gorgeous and ‘Sight’ just absolutely floored me, it felt as if it was stuffed full of all of these feelings I have felt and observations I have made which were poured out onto a page in such a beautiful and eloquent way!
