Review of 2020 and My Top Reads of the Year

It's that time of year again - where I am for once, pretty on time with this whole reflective post malarkey! 2019 was a pretty shocking year for me, and apparently 2020 had 2019 hold its beer as it spent twelve whole months concocting misery on a global scale. Therefore, this year there will be … Continue reading Review of 2020 and My Top Reads of the Year →

If I Could Say Goodbye by Emma Cooper

I received a copy of this from the publisher via Netgalley, at my request. This review forms my honest opinion. Blurb Jennifer Jones' life began when her little sister, Kerry, was born. So when her sister dies in a tragic accident, nothing seems to make sense any more. Despite the support of her husband, Ed, … Continue reading If I Could Say Goodbye by Emma Cooper →

Happy publication day to @hazelgaynor 🎉🎉 I love a good book about complex families, and This Family by @mskatesawyer was a wonderfully compelling read. If I could give it six stars, I would. As a woman and as a mum, We Need to Talk by Emily Hunt was a terrifying read. Had a lovely few days away with my husband’s family staying in #Yorkshire, just outside #Whitby. I had a brilliant time last night in #Leeds with @bonnierbooks_uk at a lovely dinner with three authors, @londonbessie @natashasolomonsauthor and @anyabergmanwriter How High We Go in the Dark by Sequoia Nagamatsu was our #bookclub read for May at The Rabbit Hole #brigg It’s @therabbithole.brigg #readinggroup on Monday and so I’ve started reading this month’s book, #howhighwegointhedark by @sequoia.n Out tomorrow, I read #fyneshade by @kateagriffin over Easter when I was struck down with the lurgey!
