My Name Is Jensen by Heidi Amsinck

My thanks to Fiona Brownlee of Muswell Press for sending me a copy of My Name Is Jensen. This review forms my honest opinion. Blurb Guilty.  One word on a beggar’s cardboard sign. And now he is dead, stabbed in a wintry Copenhagen street, the second homeless victim in as many weeks. Dagbladet reporter Jensen, stumbling … Continue reading My Name Is Jensen by Heidi Amsinck →

The Codes of Love by Hannah Persaud

My thanks to both the author and the publisher who provided me with an ebook for review. This review forms my honest opinion. Blurb Ryan and Emily appear to have it all, successful jobs, a beautiful house and the secret to a happy marriage. A secret that involves certain 'rules'. I had a brilliant time last night in #Leeds with @bonnierbooks_uk at a lovely dinner with three authors, @londonbessie @natashasolomonsauthor and @anyabergmanwriter How High We Go in the Dark by Sequoia Nagamatsu was our #bookclub read for May at The Rabbit Hole #brigg It’s @therabbithole.brigg #readinggroup on Monday and so I’ve started reading this month’s book, #howhighwegointhedark by @sequoia.n Out tomorrow, I read #fyneshade by @kateagriffin over Easter when I was struck down with the lurgey! It’s just me hanging out with @bonnie_garmus_author on the Supper at Six set at the #britishbookawards ☺️ Eeeek!!! A story of obsession featuring true crime fanatic, Roach and her fellow bookseller, Laura. Death of a Bookseller was definitely a book of two halves for me. I treated myself to a lovely social media break this weekend, and I was lucky enough to have an extra long weekend with a trip to Skipton to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Thanks to a bit of a post-covid reading slump I’ve been behind on my #buddyread which was #Fingersmith by Sarah Waters. Thank you @manilla_press @bonnierbooks_uk for this gorgeous proof of #TheIllusions by @londonbessie
